But these were leaders. This kid is coming home from school. All these kids that were substandard, I would kill myself to try to get them there, burning just so much energy on these people that didnt end up helping me much anyway, but I did transform them to a small degree. Now Ive had leaders and Ive given them opportunities to lead. And even in their review of where they stand in self-discipline, competitive fire, self-belief, love of the ball, love of playing the game, love of watching the game, grit and coachability, with basically 2 exceptionswell, actually, with just 1 exceptionevery one of their grades is their own, so when they average it out they are doing their own evaluation.
